ABSTRACT

The first part of this monograph is a serologic study of approximately 100 strains of the typhoid-parathyphoid-enteritides group of bacteria in an attempt at classification. On the basis of results obtained the author divides these strains of bacteria into eleven groups, some large, others small. The second part is a study in avidity and the author finds a marked unequality with which bacterial strains bind immune substance. The chief value of this monograph is as a reference for bacteriologists or immunologists interested in these problems.
