In Reply We thank Dr White and colleagues for their interest regarding our article on familial spontaneous coronary artery dissection (SCAD)1 and for sharing their observation of a mother-daughter pair with SCAD, adding further credence to genetic susceptibility in this condition. Since the publication of our article, at least 5 additional familial pairs with SCAD have been identified within the Mayo Clinic SCAD Registry. This important observation amid a rare disease emphasizes the effect of motivated SCAD survivors, their families, referring clinicians, and social media in the development of the Virtual Multicenter Mayo Clinic SCAD Registry. We welcome Dr White and colleagues and other collaborators to encourage their SCAD survivors to consider enrolling in the registry.
